Taste: This is one of the most structured, powerful Merlots you will ever have. The nose on this wine is clearly still evolving, showing now sweet cigar smoke and leather notes. Much the same on the palate, featuring intense, dark cherry fruit and great structure and mouthfeel. Very fine tannins carry plum, fat currant, and brown sugar notes through the finish. Still evolving.

Cameron Confidential: This one comes from one of the most famous winemakers in California whose legacy includes building one of the best high-end brands in the business and who today has branched out on his own with his son. He's been pronounced "Winemaker of the Year" countless times and called a "Master of Cabernet and Merlot" by the Wine Spectator.

This wine comes from well-drained old vines in Dry Creek with exceptionally low yields. This wine has admittedly high alcohol for a Merlot, but it's all in balance and the wine is exceptionally powerful with fantastic mouthfeel.
