Taste: Striking fresh citrus and green apple aromas show impressive purity and a subtle mineral quality. Dynamic acidity frames lively floral and lemongrass notes. Clean on the palate with bold fruit; melon and fresh grass build on the long, incisive finish.
Cameron Confidential: Along with a few of our recent releases, this wine is part of a project that presented itself somewhat recently. Havens Winery, located just south of Yountville, had earned distinction for its Merlot, Syrah, and other red blends before being sold off due to the demise of distributor Billington Imports. We subsequently purchased all of their 2007 vintage Merlot as well as a few others, including this Sauvignon Blanc. We were surprised to see Havens producing a Sauvignon Blanc but were thrilled that the opportunity presented itself. This wine is super clean and wonderfully balanced and an incredible deal at $10.
