Taste: Aromas of ripe blueberry, black cherry, huckleberry, and spice are complemented by integrated French oak and cool-climate acidity. Bold fruit and a fleshy center blanket the palate, finishing with terrific length. This wine is rich, ripe, and centered with a smooth finish.
Cameron Confidential: Coming out of the Yorkville Highlands, this fruit was harvested in the cool morning on a beautiful estate winery. Yorkville Highlands' fruit ripens evenly, with acidity, structure, and richness. The gravelly soil produces wines with mineral characteristics and allows many different varietals to succeed in an already great climate. These cool-climate Syrahs have been spot-on in the 2007 vintage, and this one in particular is an incredible deal at $12.
