Taste: A light, golden straw color. This wine delivers enchanting aromas of nectarine, honeysuckle, and peach. On the palate, a clean, crisp texture couples with well-balanced acidity. Beautiful sherbet qualities with a teeny sparkle of residual sugar grant this wine sweet fruit and a perfectly crisp finish. As a versatile blend with bright acidity, this wine drinks nicely on its own or pairs with light summer fare or spicy foods, and it will do nicely when the plethora of holiday foods hits the table.
Cameron Confidential: We received samples from this winery and were very impressed. Quite often, we receive samples of great wine that with some TLC from our winemaker Sam Spencer can really shine. In the case of this wine, Sam blended in about 30% Chenin Blanc to round out the already killer Riesling. This balanced the acid and sugar of the Riesling while filling the nose with some gorgeous fruit. I am very excited to release this wine right now as it’s perfect for summer. Be it light seafood or Asian-style chicken dishes, this Riesling/Chenin blend is simply a great go-to wine. If we still have some left, it will also be great for that holiday turkey with all the trimmings.
