Taste: Deep cherry-red center with matching rim. Aromas of strawberry and raspberry compote, rich and jammy on the nose. The mid-palate is elegant and well-developed with rich fruit and nice complexity. In the more full-throttle California style, this dense Pinot is underscored with smoke and cherries, leading to a long finish of well-integrated tannins and lingering strawberry jam.
Cameron Confidential: This wine is one of the fatter styles of Pinot that we have made. Relative to our Lot 110 Carneros Pinot Noir, Lot 142 is the fuller style Pinot Noir from Carneros, containing fruit from one of the most renowned Pinot Noir vineyards in Carneros. It's been in the bottle for just about 5 months now, so it's just starting to show—right now, it's still a baby. If Lot 110 was too light of a style for you and you dig a fatter Pinot, you'll love this wine.
