Taste: Lot 130 is a wine I am thrilled to tell you about, mostly because it is a style we haven't done much of: big, rich, buttery. Lot 130 Russian River Valley Chardonnay has that in spades but is well built over a gorgeous beam of minerally acidity that keeps it fresh and bright throughout. That beam is what makes the Russian River Valley so special: You can hang all that delicious fruit and creamy oak and keep the wine from getting fat or cloying. Like Lot 134, Lot 130 Russian River Valley Chardonnay has a screaming nose, redolent with rich tropical fruit, citrusy notes, and creamy butterscotch. The palate is full bodied yet crisp, with spicy lemon and butterscotch flavors.

Cameron Confidential: Just for its pure, lush, hedonistic nature, this is one my favorite CHW Chardonnays. It does cost a buck more than our other RRV Chards, but that's because she's got all the bells and whistles.
