Taste: Sweetly perfumed with aromas of orange Muscat, violets, and jasmine. On the palate you'll detect tropical, citrusy fruits of fresh pineapple, blood orange, and honeysuckle, finishing with fresh melon. This wine is literally sunshine in a glass. Great on a warm spring or summer day.
Cameron Confidential: This wine comes to us from one of my favorite producers down on the Central Coast. In fact, I used to regularly visit their tasting room and actually attended their classes quite often when I was a cellar rat down at Corbett Canyon many moons ago. Anyhow, both this wine and the Lot 117 Grenache Blanc/Viognier are made from estate fruit grown in the highlands around Santa Barbara at elevations from 2,800 to 3,600 feet. This Viognier is a main component in another blend selling for $30 per bottle.
