Cameron Hughes (CH) Lot 118 Viognier, Santa Barbara County, CA, 2007 – Wine Review and Rating
Updated review, six months later, May, 2010:
Turning more honey in color. Citrus is gone from the nose, but still a shy slate and grass. The fleshy middle is now a ripe, almost creamy, pear. No lemons or prickly acids. Just a nice lift to hold the full middle aloft. Touches of melon and tropical fruit join the pear for a long finish. Leaps ahead to four stars on the Spirit of Wine scale, making this an absolutely awesome value, now in its third year from vintage date.
