Cameron Hughes Wine Lot 25, Carneros Napa Valley Sparkling Wine, NV
I took this wine under false pretenses from Cameron Hughes. Not that I meant to. It’s just that they sent it along for review with some other stuff that I also have not gotten round to trying, and then one day recently we were celebrating the sale of our friend Claire’s book and it was the only appropriately sparking adult beverage on hand. So I did not do any tasting notes, but I can tell you that it’s good stuff, and that we all liked it for its citrusy peachy nose that turns bready-yeasty in the mouth with lemons peaches and apples, followed by a tasty lemon rind finish. Hmm… sounds like notes to me. Pretty darn good, enjoyed by all, and in a cool-looking bottle. Nuff said.
