I just had my first experience with three of his wines (http://tinyurl.com/2m5lgx) and I was really impressed. Had the Sauvignon Blanc, the Meritage, and the Carneros sparkler. They tasted like wines that cost 2x the retail price. They weren't "mushy" like so many negociant wines can be here in the US, but really retained distinctive flavor profiles.
