Dear Friends, We’ve got some great new Cameron Hughes wines for the Centennial Costco store this weekend beginning Thursday, October 23rd.
We have a several new releases that are drinking fantastic right now and are ready for your immediate enjoyment. We also have a stunning cellar selection that, while immensely enjoyable now, will definitely reward the patient.
We’ll have CHW personnel in the store throughout the weekend to answer any of your questions on these new releases but as usual we highly recommend you take them home and get to know these wines for yourself!

Lot 75 2006 Oak Knoll District Cabernet Napa Valley – Oak Knoll is a relatively cool growing area for Cabernet Sauvignon. As a result, it's a real blend of Bordeaux and California. The wine is a beast in terms of structure and long life. The nose on the wine is very bright showing intense currant, blackberry and hints of cherry. While the wine will age gracefully for 2-3 years to come, the tannins are well integrated leading to a finish displaying a collage of violets, toasty oak and racy fruit.
Lot 91 2007 Russian River Valley Chardonnay – The first of several upcoming RRV releases made by a world-famous Russian River Valley producer. Combining 50% barrel fermentation with 80% new oak this is a richer style RRV Chard but still a non-malolactic style. Creamy/toasty from the new oak but not an overtly buttery style, this wine will improve for years to come.
Lot 45 Hunter Valley Cabernet/Shiraz – Bright colors and red fruits on the nose lead to a super smooth entry of cinnamon and red fruits. The palate is broad but with a backbone of acidity that carries this wine to a long finish of blackberry, blueberry and spice. Very fruit-forward and juicy - just like you would expect for a wine from this region.
